CatzRus SA is a public non-profit organisation established in 2004. Our original goal was to provide a refuge to abandoned, abused and homeless cats and kittens until we could safely rehome them. For the past 12 years we have been able to do this with the understanding and support of Dr Bosch and the Glen Animal Clinic.

In 2015 alone we took in over 400 cats and kittens and rehomed the majority of them. Our rehoming program includes testing the animals for Feline Aids and Leukaemia when they are brought in, vaccinating, deworming, microchipping and sterilizing all animals before they are allowed to be adopted out. (We test our Adult cats but not the kittens, we do random tests on batches of sick kittens.)

We believe in working cooperatively with other animal welfare organisations in the battle to control the problem of homeless and abandoned animals. Over the years we have partnered with various other organisations, most especially Be Wise Sterilise, in order to further our mission.
